LINCOLN, NE – Today, Governor Jim Pillen announced he is accepting applications for a newly created at large position on the Tax Equalization and Review Commission. The new position is legislatively mandated through passage of LB 243 (2023). The six-year term will start July 1, 2023, and continue until January 1, 2028.
LINCOLN, NE – Today, Governor Jim Pillen announced his appointment of Patrick Haggerty as the state’s first broadband director. Haggerty will lead the Nebraska Broadband Office established by Executive Order No 23-02 and LB 683 which will coordinate broadband deployment across the state. Reflective of the significance of this position for Nebraska, Governor Pillen established the Office of the Director of Broadband as part of his executive Cabinet.

LINCOLN – Today, Governor Jim Pillen announced his appointment of former Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Supervisor and Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Director Bryan Tuma as the next executive director of the Nebraska Crime Commission. LINCOLN, NE – Governor Jim Pillen has appointed K.C. Belitz to be the next director of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED). Belitz, who is currently the chief operating officer for the Nebraska Community Foundation, will assume his new role on July 5.
