LINCOLN, NE – Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen announced his issuance of an executive order banning the state of Nebraska and its contractors from using communications equipment and services produced by Huawei Technologies, ZTE Corporation, Hytera Communications, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology, and Dahua Technology and their subsidiaries and affiliates. Each of these companies are owned or controlled by the Chinese Communist Party and are on the Federal Communications Commission's Covered List, which includes companies that are considered a risk to national security.

The FOP represents teammates within protective services classifications, including corrections officers at the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) and safety and security specialists at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
