LINCOLN, NE – Nebraskans are invited to hear from Governor Jim Pillen during a two-day fly around to central and western communities. Six stops are included in the trip, scheduled on Wednesday, June 28 and Thursday, June 29. Five of those visits will involve town hall events, during which the Governor will talk about highlights from the 2023 legislative session and take questions from attendees.

LINCOLN – Today, Governor Jim Pillen announced his appointment of former Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Supervisor and Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Director Bryan Tuma as the next executive director of the Nebraska Crime Commission. LINCOLN, NE – Governor Jim Pillen has appointed K.C. Belitz to be the next director of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED). Belitz, who is currently the chief operating officer for the Nebraska Community Foundation, will assume his new role on July 5.
LINCOLN – Today, Governor Jim Pillen issued Executive Order 23-10 to provide emergency relief in response to regional fuel shortages. The order temporarily allows drivers to work extended hours to haul gasoline or gasoline blends, diesel, fuel oil, ethanol, propane, and biodiesel.
LINCOLN, NE – Today, Governor Jim Pillen signed LB562 into law. The legislation contains provisions to increase consumer access to E15 fuel in the state, boost higher blend ethanol tax credits, improve the NextGen program and cut red tape for food trucks.
