Governor Pillen Issues EO Banning State Use of CCP Tech

LINCOLN, NE – Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen announced his issuance of an executive order banning the state of Nebraska and its contractors from using communications equipment and services produced by Huawei Technologies, ZTE Corporation, Hytera Communications, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology, and Dahua Technology and their subsidiaries and affiliates. Each of these companies are owned or controlled by the Chinese Communist Party and are on the Federal Communications Commission's Covered List, which includes companies that are considered a risk to national security.

Governor Pillen Declares 'National Pig Day', Names Office Pig

LINCOLN, NE – Today, Governor Jim Pillen was joined by fourth graders to help celebrate Nebraska’s 156th Statehood Birthday and National Pig Day by naming the office’s metal pig. Two fourth graders, representing Christ Lutheran School in Lincoln and Spirit and Grace Academy in Elkhorn, selected the name “Petunia” from the Governor’s cowboy hat.

Governor Pillen, NSP, & NDOT Urge Caution Over Winter Weather Across State

LINCOLN, NE – Today, Governor Jim Pillen is joining with state agencies in urging caution as a winter storm moves across Nebraska, bringing the potential for significant snow, high winds, and bitterly cold conditions. Areas of greatest impact stretch from the panhandle through the central section of the state and across the northeast. The National Weather Service is predicting between 6 and 12 inches of snow in the uppermost regions, starting this afternoon.
