  • Gov. Ricketts Thanks Nebraska Air National Guard for Military Service in Qatar

    Al Udeid Air Base, QATAR – Last week, Governor Pete Ricketts thanked Nebraska Air National Guard (NEANG) Airmen for their service while visiting Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Currently, there are 102 NEANG Airmen deployed to the Middle East with U.S. Central Command, with the majority stationed in Qatar.  Airmen at Al Udeid Air Base are attached to the 340th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron and the 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.  While touring the base, ... read more

    LINCOLN – Today, Governor Ricketts received a letter from Speaker of the Legislature Mike Hilgers.  It indicated that 30 state senators support amending Nebraska’s abortion laws to prohibit abortions starting at 12 weeks in a special session.  The Governor released the following statement in response:

    LINCOLN – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts invited retailers who sell higher ethanol blends of fuel to apply for tax credits made available through the passage of Legislative Bill (LB) 1261e.  Gov. Ricketts signed the bill into law this spring after it was passed unanimously by the Nebraska Legislature.
