Supplemental Update Regarding Gov. Jim Pillen’s Condition and Recovery Following Horseback Riding Accident
LINCOLN, NE – Following a news conference during which Dr. Charity Evans, chief of trauma for Nebraska Medicine and Dr. Hillman Terzian, a trauma surgeon at Nebraska Medicine, updated media regarding Governor Jim Pillen’s medical status and recovery, the Governor’s office issued the following statement with further updates regarding his care:
Governor Transported to UNMC Following Fall from Horse
LINCOLN, NE – While riding on horseback with family members today, Governor Jim Pillen was bucked off a new a new horse and was injured. The Governor was transported to Columbus Community Hospital, and out of an abundance of caution, was then transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha. The Governor is expected to remain at UNMC for several days. The Governor is alert and is in continuous touch with his team.
Gov. Pillen Announces Awards for 6 Regions, One Nebraska Priority Projects
LINCOLN, NE – Today, Governor Jim Pillen announced awards for projects in three districts of the state’s 6 Regions, One Nebraska initiative (Southeast, Metro, and Northeast). The announcement took place in Lincoln at the offices of Southeast Nebraska Development District, one of three organizations receiving funds.
