Gov. Ricketts Names Kevin R. McManaman to Third Judicial District Judgeship

LINCOLN – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts announced his appointment of Kevin R. McManaman to the Third Judicial District Court of Nebraska.


McManaman, 51, is the Managing Partner at Knudsen, Berkheimer, Richardson & Endacott, LLP in Lincoln.  His practice primarily consists of litigation including healthcare disputes, commercial and securities disputes, negligence and wrongful death, licensing and regulatory matters, school district defense, employment law, and estate and business planning.


McManaman was previously a partner at Erickson & Sederstrom in Omaha and a mental health counselor at the Nebraska Department of Corrections.


McManaman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law.  He is a Master of the Bar, a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association, and a member of the Robert Van Pelt Inns of Court.


The Third Judicial District for the District Court consists of Lancaster County.


The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge Steven D. Burns.
