LINCOLN – The Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA), in conjunction with the Nebraska Governor’s Office, released a video highlighting the state’s successes in growing economic opportunities for Nebraskans. In the video, Governor Ricketts discusses Nebraska’s reemployment program, cutting regulatory red tape to create a more business-friendly environment, and implementing common-sense occupational licensing reform in the state.
“Often times, we have well-intentioned programs in government to help people get to work, but they actually end up creating barriers to people getting to work,” said Governor Ricketts. “What we want to do in state government is make sure we are removing barriers to help people get that next best job.”
FGA’s mission is to strengthen communities and improve the lives of individuals and families by equipping policymakers with principled strategies to replace failed health and welfare programs nationwide.
