Gov. Ricketts Appoints Thomas E. Zimmerman to Third Judicial County Judgeship
LINCOLN – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts announced his appointment of Thomas E. Zimmerman to the Third Judicial County Court of Nebraska.
Zimmerman, 53, is a partner at Jeffrey, Hahn, Hemmerling, & Zimmerman, PC, LLO where he previously worked as an Associate and Law Clerk. His 25 years in private practice have included county court, civil trial, criminal trial, business, transactions, estate planning, and probate case work.
Zimmerman holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska-College of Law. He has received the Martindale-Hubbell AV Peer Review Rating for his legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability, legal experience, and very high ethical standards.
The 3rd Judicial District consists of Lancaster County. The primary place of office for the judicial vacancy is Lincoln, Nebraska.
The vacancy in the County Court in the 3rd Judicial District is due to the appointment of Judge Susan I. Strong to the district court bench from the county court bench.
