Gov. Ricketts Announces SBA Administrator Linda McMahon to Address Economic Development Summit

LINCOLN – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts announced that Linda McMahon, Administrator of the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), will give the keynote address at this July’s third annual Nebraska Governor’s Summit on Economic Development in Lincoln.
"As a successful entrepreneur and the head of our nation’s preeminent organization devoted to supporting small businesses, Administrator McMahon’s address at our upcoming summit is a tremendous honor for Nebraska,” Governor Ricketts said. “For the past two years, this summit has been a great opportunity for Nebraskans to come together to strategize how to grow the economy and create jobs. If you have yet to register for this event, please do so and join us in July.”
This year’s Summit will take place on Thursday, July 12, 2018, from 8:30am-4:00pm at Lincoln’s Cornhusker Marriott Hotel. The annual event brings together leaders and representatives from Nebraska’s business and economic development communities to discuss challenges and opportunities related to economic growth. It is considered to be the year’s pinnacle economic development forum in Nebraska.
Over two dozen speakers are slated for the Summit, including: Governor Ricketts, Department of Economic Development Director Dave Rippe, local startup owners, and others.
