Gov. Ricketts Seeks Applicants for OPPD Board of Directors Seat

LINCOLN – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts announced that he will seek qualified applicants to fill a vacancy on the Omaha Public Power District’s (OPPD) board of directors that was created by the passing of Richard Hurley.
Applications for appointment to fill the vacancy on the OPPD board of directors will be accepted immediately and until 4:00pm on Friday, October 13, 2017. Applicants wishing to be considered for appointment must meet the statutory residence requirements in Nebraska Statute 70-610.
The subdivision’s boundaries lie within Douglas County. A map of the district can be found by clicking here. The Governor reserves the right to seek out additional qualified candidates.
The appointee will serve until January 2019.
