Gov. Heineman’s Statement Regarding
First-Round Passage of Tax Relief Package
(Lincoln, NE) Gov. Dave Heineman issued the following comment following the first round approval of LB 968, the tax relief package developed with the support the Legislature’s Revenue Committee and the Governor.
Gov. Heineman said, “I’m encouraged by the progress of today’s debate and am hopeful that we will be able to provide tax relief for Nebraskans before the end of the session.
“I especially appreciate the leadership of Senators Dave Landis and Pam Redfield, along with members of the Revenue Committee for their work in addressing the need for tax relief.”
