Gov. Heineman's Statement on
Ethanol Plant Announcement in Blair

(Lincoln, NE) Gov. Dave Heineman issued the following statement about the economic development announcement by Cargill that it plans to build a 110-million-gallon ethanol plant at its corn-processing facility in Blair:

"This plant is more good news for farmers, truckers and implement dealers in Nebraska. Ethanol plants grow good jobs in our communities and improve the price of corn, all while helping our nation decrease its dependence on foreign oil. Nebraska's commitment to ethanol remains a key selling point for the growth of this value-added industry."
